The Ministry of Health reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday afternoon, all in MIQ.
Eight of the cases are arrivals from India via UAE, ahead of Sunday’s temporary 17-day travel ban on arrivals from the hard-hit nation.
The other two were from the UAE via Malaysia, and Canada via the US.
“There are no new positive cases from contacts of the COVID-19 case in a worker at the Grand Millennium managed isolation facility. The worker returned a positive swab after being tested on Tuesday,” the ministry said in a statement.
“Fifteen close contacts have been identified. All have been contacted and are self isolating. Eleven have returned negative test results and we are awaiting further results.”
