Willock award
Joe Willock has been handed even more recognition.
The Arsenal youngster was in exhilarating form on loan with Newcastle United throughout the second half of the season.
After joining the club in the January transfer window on a temporary basis, he proved a terrific arrival, netting an outstanding eight goals in just 14 Premier League games.
Willock was consistently excellent for the Magpies and he rounded off his season by scoring in seven consecutive league appearances, form that has seen him named the EA Sports Premier League player of the month for May.
He faced tough competition to claim the award, with Arsenal teammate Nicolas Pepe also being nominated.
However, the youngsters excellent goalscoring form and contribution for Newcastle has seen him claim the gong.

Sterling’s verdict on Arteta
Raheem Sterling has never made any secret of his admiration for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
And amid rumours that the Gunners are interested in the England winger with City reportedly open to selling the 26-year-old in the summer, his previous comments about the Spaniard have become relevant again.
“[Arteta is] a person that had a lot of say here [at Man City]. The manager trusted him here and he had a lot of influence on the players here and the team as well,” Sterling said back in October.

“So I knew once he went into Arsenal that it would be a great opportunity for him but also he would definitely implement what he wanted to bring in.
“And he’s a person that will put his foot down and not let things slide as you can see with the boys at Arsenal. They know if they don’t run they are most likely not going to play.”

Arsenal’s to-do-list
Arsenal’s summer transfer plans have been revealed.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners want to sign goalkeepers, defenders across every position, plus central midfielders and a No 10.
In terms of the attacking midfield position, Martin Odegaard is the club’s first-choice target despite links to Emiliano Buendia, but the ball is in Real Madrid’s court and a decision could rest on who is appointed to replace Zinedine Zidane as head coach.

What will interest some Arsenal fans is ‘serious interest’ in Bayer Leverkusen central defender Edmond Tapsoba.
David Luiz’s departure does leave the Gunners a little light at centre-back, but William Saliba will be available again following his loan spell at Nice.
With that said, reports have already claimed that it will cost Arsenal more than £50m to sign Tapsoba.
