John Travolta teamed up with his daughter Ella to recreate a famous dance scene from Grease for a Super Bowl commercial.
The 66-year-old actor and his 20-year-old daughter were featured in the star-studded commercial for Scotts Miracle-Gro doing their own version of the hand jive.
The 45-second spot opened with a pitchman making an oblique reference to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic by saying ‘the backyard’ has had ‘quite a year’.

‘Let’s keep this backyard thing going,’ he said before offering a chance ‘to win the lawn and garden of your dreams’.
‘Like mine,’ chimed in Martha Stewart, 79, who was tending to tomatoes in her garden.
‘You know, just not better than mine,’ Martha added with a wink.
Carl Weathers played golf in his backyard, while Kyle Busch drove a ride-on lawnmower and fitness instructor Emma Lovewell did yoga.

John was then shown bending over and fiddling with a phone camera.
‘Dad, it’s the red one,’ said Ella, who wore a black jacket over a black floral print dress with her dark hair pulled back into a ponytail.

‘The other red one,’ Ella said.
‘I know,’ John stated as he successfully started recording.

John and Ella then danced to the Surfaces song Sunday Best that became popular in 2020 on TikTok.
Ella and John expertly performed the dance that his Grease character Danny Zuko did with Sandy Olsson, played by Olivia Newton-John, 72, during the hand jive contest.

John’s wife Kelly Preston died in July 2020 at age 57, two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The actor also has 10-year-old son Benjamin.
