It shouldve been so much easier for the Dogs. They convincingly won the disposals 406-312, and also finished on top for contested possessions 139-128, inside 50s 51-47, marks inside 50 (17-13), clearances 41-36 and scoring shots 30-23.
But a combination of their inefficiency and the Eagles efficiency saw the Bulldogs fight right until the end to secure the four premiership points.
Kelly was superb for the Eagles with 29 disposals (13 contested), five clearances, nine score involvements, four tackles and five intercepts.
Naitanui was also brilliant, racking up 40 hitouts, 13 disposals (14 contested), 11 clearances, five tackles, eight score involvements and seven inside 50s. Kennedy, Darling and Jones kicked 11 goals between them.
