  • The Poco F3 brings 5G and Snapdragon 870 performancess at US$340

POCO Global has launched its two latest flagship smartphones: the Poco F3, and the Poco X3 Pro. The latter is an upgraded version of the Poco X3, now sporting a new Snapdragon 860 chipset.
The Poco F3, on the other hand, is a brand new device sporting a Snapdragon 870 5G chipset and 120Hz display, Poco said in a statement.
The Poco X3 Pro’s new chipset, the Snapdragon 860, features a Kyro 584 CPU alongside with the Adreno 650 GPU, which makes for a higher-quality gaming experience and capable of running 3D-heavy games at high settings. The device sports the LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus, a cooling solution to reduce the device’s thermal capacity.
This all goes into powering the smartphone’s 6.67-inch FHD+ DotDisplay, which has a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The X3 Pro is equipped with a 5,160mAh battery, with a 33W fast charger included in the box.
In the camera department, the X3 Pro sports a quad-camera setup in the rear, consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 119-degree ultra-wide camera lens, and a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor for those close-ups and portrait shots.
The Poco X3 Pro will be available in Malaysia starting March 24, in two storage variants: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. They are priced at US$242 (RM999) and US$315 (RM1,299) respectively, and can be purchased on Xiaomi’s official store on Shopee.

The real beast
The Poco F3, on the other hand, is touted as the brand’s most powerful device yet. It carries with it a Snapdragon 870 5G SoC – with the LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus – makes for a powerful device capable of 3D-intensive gaming and productivity processes. As opposed to the Poco X3 Pro, the F3 is a 5G device that also supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
It similarly touts a 6.67-inch 120Hz display, albeit with a higher 360Hz touch sampling rate. It also sports a dual-speaker setup and is Poco’s first device that enable Dolby Atmos.
This is a triple-camera device, led by a 48MP main camera alongside a ultra-wide lens and 5MP telemacro camera. Occupying the dot on the front screen is a 20MP selfie shooter. Notably, the device has a triple-microphone setup with one of them dedicated to the Audio Zoom feature, letting you ‘zoom in’ on the sound while shooting a far-away video.
Power comes courtesy of a 4,520mAh battery, which – with the included 33W fast charger – can be charged to 100% in 52 minutes, Poco claimed.
The POCO F3 will be available from March 27, and comes in two storage variants: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. They are priced at RM1,399 and RM1,699 respectively.
Likewise, it has a special sale: from March 27 to March 28, the device POCO X3 Pro will be available at RM1,299 for the 6GB+128GB version and RM1,499 for the 8GB+256GB variant. It can be purchased here.
