Titans enforcer Mo Fotuaika will miss Saturday’s clash with the Roosters after accepting a one-match ban for his dangerous contact against NSW star Latrell Mitchell in the State of Origin opener.
The rookie Queensland front-rower was reported by referee Gerard Sutton for a high shot on Mitchell in the 22nd minute of the Blues’ 50-6 thrashing in Townsville.
Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt (dangerous contact) and superstar Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster (contrary conduct) were also booked in last night’s Origin opener, but both have escaped with a fine.
After Fotuaika accepted the early guilty plea, the Titans will be without the 107-kilogram wrecking ball as they look to break a two-game losing streak at Cbus Super Stadium.
Justin Holbrook’s men loomed as one of the biggest improvers ahead of the 2021 season, but they’ve won just five games from 13 starts and are sitting 12th on the ladder.
