K-pop boy band 1TEAM will officially be disbanding this month.
The band’s agency Liveworks Company announced the news in a statement, saying 1TEAM will end its official activities on March 14, according to a Soompi report on Wednesday.
The agency wrote, “After long discussions between the 1TEAM members and Liveworks Company, both sides have agreed to end 1TEAM’s official activities as a group on March 14, 2021 and terminate their contract with Liveworks Company as a group.”
“To all the fans who loved 1TEAM, we sincerely apologize for delivering this news suddenly,” it added.
The company also thanked the fans around the world for all the love they’ve given to the band.
“Please wish the best for the members who will take the next steps in their lives individually. Now they will be headed towards different dreams, not as 1TEAM, and Liveworks Company also wishes the best of luck to all members.”
1TEAM, which consists of members Rubin, BC, Jehyun, Jinwoo, and Junghoon, debuted back in 2019. They’re known for their songs “Vibe,” “Make This,” and “Ice In The Cup.”
They’re most recent music video “ULLAELI KKOLLAELI” was released last August. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
