Jennifer Lopez and Maluma turned the heat up at the 2020 American Music Awards.
On Sunday, the musical duo brought down the house with the world-premiere performance of two songs — “Pa’ Ti” and “Lonely” — from their upcoming Marry Me movie soundtrack. And even though the audience was small for COVID-19 safety, you couldn’t tell it wasn’t a packed theater due to the screams and cheers during the sexy performance.
Lopez kicked off the performance as a cross light lit up her face, rocking a skin-tight transparent bodysuit. She writhed around on a tabletop with bilingual hit “Pa’ Ti” before Maluma joined her onstage wearing a pinstriped double-breasted, three-piece suit and sunglasses.
As “Pa’ Ti” morphed into “Lonely,” Lopez and Maluma came together, dancing and then sitting down across from each other at a table onstage. Lopez then got even more sultry, crawling on the table towards Maluma as the screams and cheers got even louder. Maluma crawled on top of her at one point before she rejected him to go along with the breakup anthem vibes, getting up and walking away. Lopez and the dancers behind her then pulled a Flashdance and performed a sensual dance with chairs. She ended the song sitting back-to-back with Maluma.
The AMAs performance offered a sneak peek preview of the highly-anticipated full-length album both superstars worked on for the upcoming romantic comedy. Marry Me follows Kat Valdez (Lopez), a Latin pop icon who discovers her playboy fiancé (Maluma in his feature debut) is having an affair during a live concert, and selects an unwitting stranger (Owen Wilson) from the audience to marry instead.
Marry Me is set for theatrical release on May 14.
