Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi said he has great memories from his time at Napoli but quashed rumours linking him with a return.
The Neroverdi coach has been linked with a return to Naples and the Brescian admitted he had ‘a good time’ at the Azzurri.
Sassuolo sit fourth during the winter break, leading the Partenopei by one point after 14 games, and the coach stressed Napoli already have a ‘great’ coach in Gennaro Gattuso.
“I must say that Naples is a very warm and beautiful place,” De Zerbi told SportItalia. “It has remained in my heart.
“I can’t help but have a wonderful memory, I had a good time there.
“I’m tied to the Azzurri as much as I’m tied to all the other clubs I played for. But today, the team is led by a great coach in Gennaro Gattuso.
“I have an excellent relationship with him, I think he’s a beautiful person and very professional. I can only wish him and Napoli the best.”
