President Trump in a tweeted video on Tuesday criticized the $900 billion coronavirus relief legislation passed by Congress on Monday, calling for lawmakers to increase direct payments to Americans to $2,000 from $600.
I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000 or $4,000 for a couple, he said, saying the package has almost nothing to do with Covid.
